Before co-founding Pension Pulse, Aidan Carter had built a career across sales, client service and financial planning. What stood out was an industry that had operated in broadly the same way for a long time.
The traditional model could make regulated advice slow, difficult to access and harder to understand than it needed to be. The experience could feel formal and intimidating, while limited adviser capacity naturally pushed firms towards the cases that made the most commercial sense.
The model could work very well commercially while still leaving a huge advice gap.
And if you wanted to serve more people without changing the model itself, the obvious answer was to move more of the journey online: fewer human touchpoints, more self-service and more for the customer to manage alone.
We created Pension Pulse to redesign how regulated financial advice is delivered: increasing capacity and improving the experience without lowering the standard of advice or designing the human relationship out of it.
